Who We Are

Jacobs Driscoll Engineering is a land development engineering and land surveying firm located in historic North Easton, Massachusetts. We provide land development permitting, civil engineering, and land surveying solutions for commercial, retail and residential developers, municipalities, and homeowners. Our registered professional engineers and land surveyors have many years of experience providing these solutions and services.

In medical terms, a Civil Engineer is much like a general practitioner.

In addition to the design and permitting services that we provide solely as engineers, we orchestrate the general care of the project and call upon the specialists as needed. These specialists include land surveyors (which JDE offers in-house), wetlands scientists, licensed site professionals, landscape architects, electrical engineers, lighting designers, and irrigation consultants. At Jacobs Driscoll Engineering (JDE) we have a network of consultants, which we engage, as the project requires. And with our in-house Land Surveying department, which is complementary and critical to our engineering and permitting efforts, we are afforded the capability of collaborating directly between disciplines and scheduling work efficiently.

At JDE we determine the project’s needs early in the process as we work with the client to define the scope of their project so that we can apply the appropriate resources throughout each phase of the work. This approach provides the client with a high confidence level in the degree of effort that will be applied to their project. Similarly, the proactive approach of meeting early on with local officials affords the project the advantage of understanding the wants and expectations of the community and the ability to address those concerns in the design phase, rather than reacting to feedback after the project is submitted and commented on.

The regulatory and permitting process in the Commonwealth can be daunting and is further complicated by differing submittal and review requirements in each city or town. Our professionals know how to navigate these processes and get your project the permits and approvals that you need in order to get your project moving forward.
